In an exhilarating exhibition of his two great passions, acting and singing, Carver weaves powerful performances made up of Shakespeare and song. In Brent Carver: Home Through the Night, a deeply skilled and passionate artist crosses the threshold between the self and the character he performs.

This film was produced by the NFB in co-operation with the National Arts Centre and the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards Foundation on the occasion of the 2014 Governor General's Performing Arts Awards.
